- Gift ?abc=g#name605
- The University and State Library Düsseldorf is happy to accept book gifts that match the collection profile and thus complement the library's holdings in a meaningful way. We are pleased when we are confirmed and supported by private book gifts on our behalf as an educational institution and as a cultural memory from outside. In view of limited space reserves, however, we can only accept books that we would currently buy. Multiple copies cannot be added to the inventory.
Donations are made without restrictions and for the free use of the library. This means that the University and State Library reserves the right to further use gifts. Media that are not included in the collection can, for example: be passed on or maculated to other institutions. Return of gifts not included in the inventory can only be picked up by the donor and only if this has been agreed in advance in writing or by e-mail.
If you would like to give us books, please note the following information and contact us by E-Mail:
• If possible, please check on the basis of our Katalogs whether the relevant title (s) are already available in the ULB's holdings. Older editions of a work are of interest only if they are of historical relevance. This also applies to obsolete reference works, textbooks and legislation.
• In the case of large-scale donations, please first draw up a list with the respective bibliographical information (author/publisher, title, publisher, place of publication and year of publication, publication note).
• As a rule, no acknowledgement of receipt will be issued for unsolicited donations. - Graphic Collection "Man and Death" ?abc=g#name201
